Uniform and controlled plate cooling is often required in order to achieve the desired material grade characteristics for the plate. BNG offers air-atomized spray nozzles and associated headers that form a spray coverage grid that covers the entire plate. The flow rates are controlled using a control system that is programmed based on the cooling rate and temperature gradient between the core and shell required for any particular plate grade.

BNG works with the customer in order to prepare the spray coverage grid and determine the flow rates that are programmed into the control system.
