Upgradation of Existing Burners

BNG can apply its patented nozzle technology in improving existing burners in a customer’s furnace. BNG studies the existing burner drawings (after ensuring that there are no patent infringements) and makes upgrades to the design based on extensive state-of-the-art experiments and other engineering tools.

Developing Burner Curves for Existing Burners

Sometimes burner manufacturers do not provide the appropriate burner curves to their customers and at other times, the customers lose the burner curves over time. Burner curves are necessary to make the appropriate burner settings in order to get the most efficient combustion.

BNG, through its state-of-the-art experiments and other engineering tools, develops burner curves in order to enable its customers to maximize the utilization of their burners.

Spray System Design for Continuous Casters

Each continuous caster is its own unique design. The spray cooling system also needs to be designed accordingly ensuring proper spray coverage, temperature profile of the continuous casting and the flow rate range that the nozzles can handle. The goal is to maximize the speed of the casting in order to maximize productivity.

BNG has its team of metallurgists and spray experts to carry out design work of spray cooling systems for secondary cooling of continuous casters.

Spray System Design for Hot Rolling Mills

Be it accelerated cooling of hot plates or spray cooling of rolls, BNG can study the customer’s spray system requirements and make recommendations on the spray nozzle arrangement required and the characteristics of the spray nozzles required.

NOZZLE TESTING AND DESIGN OPTIMISATION

BNG works closely with customers to solve a variety of technical problems pertaining to sprays for industrial applications. BNG not only offers testing services but also provides customers with solutions on nozzle design optimization and smart nozzles to improve spray performance.

BNG has access to state-of-the-art laser diagnostic tools (Click here for more information). Our R&D engineers and scientists have expertise in providing consultation on spray characterization (SMD, Spray cone angle, spray patternation, volume distribution) and on novel nozzle designs.
